Square One Solutions Group, a national provider of niche, technology-centric, business-enabling solutions, has posted a 27% increase in operating profit from R6.5 million to R8.28 million for the year to end December 2006.
Chief Executive Officer Craig Alexander said realignment of the group over the past four years continues to achieve good, positive results.
"Our re-positioning strategy has been a unqualified success and we have achieved growth and performance levels ahead of the industry average."
Alexander added that the business, now 21 years old, is "strongly positioned as a provider of niche technology solutions that meet the needs of South African businesses from a technological, client engagement, service and support perspective".
Profit before tax increased significantly by 105.7% to R5.004 million from the R2.433 million achieved in 2005. Headline earnings per share increased from 9.4c in 2005 to 11.2c. Earnings per share of 11.2c were declared, more than double the 5.3c of 2005.
Indicative of the group's focus on the contribution line, gross margin contribution per employee increased by 27% year on year to R417 000 per employee. The Square One Solutions Group employs 140 staff represented in all major centres.
Accumulated profit for the year ending December 2006 of R1.795 million reflects an overall improvement of R3.553 million over the 2005 financial year.
