Leading fragrance importer Campbell and Thiselton has dramatically boosted accuracy levels by implementing SYSPRO's IMPACT Encore ERP solution throughout its organisation.
In order to move from its existing legacy system into leading-edge technology, Campbell and Thiselton recently bought a 16-user version of IMPACT Encore from ProActive Integrators, a member of SYSPRO's nation-wide dealer network.
Faizel Hoosen, IT Manager of Campbell and Thiselton, says the rationale behind the decision was based on a need to move away from multiple manual systems which were resulting in duplication of effort and inefficiencies.
"We chose IMPACT Encore because it is a fully integrated system with a highly versatile General Ledger module. This was essential as Campbell and Thiselton has complex requirements due to the fact that we import from multiple manufacturers and supply multiple retailers," he says.
One of the most important criteria stipulated by Campbell and Thiselton was for an Electronic Data Interface (EDI) system able to accommodate its customers' needs. Two of its largest clients, Edgars and Truworths, have adopted an EDI approach, which operates through a Value Added Network (VAN) service.
"ProActive Integrators developed an automatic facility for the handling of the EDI messages and the importing of sales orders," Hoosen says. "Audit trails are generated and the system flows very smoothly."
Campbell and Thiselton chose ProActive Integrators as its IMPACT Encore dealer because of the company's track record as SYSPRO's most accredited distributor. "Furthermore, ProActive is situated only a few kilometres from our office, so we were confident of speedy response times," he says. "Their service levels are definitely the best, and the tight deadline of completing implementation within one month was met with ease."
Commenting on the benefits delivered by IMPACT Encore, Hoosen mentions the quick, easy availability of reports which are of value to decision makers. "Naturally, figures are most important, and since having IMPACT Encore our figures are highly accurate," he says. "Also, the flexibility of the system has enabled us to write reports specially for our needs.
"We plan to keep upgrading IMPACT Encore as each new version offers greater efficiencies and benefits."
