Sybase Products Middle East is organising a roadshow on enterprise architecture modelling and design in Kuwait City and Dubai in April, says Al Bawaba.

The event will cover the best practices in modelling, the basic model and feature set of Sybase PowerDesigner, best practices for business analysis, classic Java/.NET development, SODA, data warehousing and a demonstration on data warehousing with Sybase PowerDesigner works.

The conference, hosted by the Defense Department and the Association for Enterprise Integration, was held last week.

The DOD Enterprise Architecture Achievement awards programme, the first of what organisers hope will become an annual event, chose four winners from 28 nominations.

Soley speaks at SOAWorld

Dr Richard Mark Soley, executive director of the SOA Consortium and chairman and CEO of the Object Management Group, will be keynote speaker in New York City in June at SOAWorld Conference & Expo 2008 East, reports sys-con.

He will speak about 'Making the SOA Leap' - in other words, what's valuable about the move to SOA, how to both make the leap and make the leap valuable.

In his keynote, he will show what the SOA Consortium is doing in terms of defining SOA to be a valuable business strategy for business agility, taking advantage of enterprise architecture, business process management and other concepts.
