Symetrix Information Technologies, a leading provider of innovative and high availability IT solutions to medium and large corporations, today announced its recognition as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Support Services.
This makes Symetrix one of only six companies in SA to obtain this status. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners earn this endorsement by demonstrating that they have the knowledge, skills, and commitment to help support and manage technology platforms that match a business' needs.
This certification was introduced to the market at the end of 2000 and is the successor to the Microsoft Certified Support Centre agreement.
"Our aim is to award key Microsoft partners with a certification that is of value to the market," comments Wayne Pienaar, partner: technical account manager for Microsoft SA. "Additionally, the certification ensures the delivery of quality service to Symetrix's customers running Microsoft software."
This certification verifies Symetrix's delivery of high-level enterprise support to customers that utilise the Microsoft platform. However, to be considered for this certification, Symetrix had to be able to deliver hardware and software services and solutions across multiple vendor platforms. Microsoft monitors the service levels of Symetrix on a monthly basis through telephonic customer satisfaction surveys. These surveys are conducted by a Microsoft-appointed third-party and focus on measuring Symetrix's service quality.
To qualify for this certification, Symetrix had to have an established internal facility for training purposes that included administrative support, management and trainers. In addition, Symetrix's own employees have to comply with stringent Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) requirements to ensure that the skills of technical support staff are at a level that guarantees customers receive the best possible service.
In terms of the agreement Symetrix will have a Microsoft designated Technical Account Manager who will assist Symetrix in providing technical support and services as well as account management to its customers. "Our customers have the most to gain from this certification," comments Ben Swartz, managing director of Symetrix. "We have always focused on delivering innovative solutions and providing high levels of service to our customers and this endorsement by Microsoft recognises our commitment."
