Synapsys Systems - South Africa's leading specialist distributor of PC cooling technology - has been appointed the official distributor of the advanced VapoChill and WaterChill products, from Asetek.
"We're delighted to offer the VapoChill and WaterChill products to the SA PC user," says Arthur Williamson, managing director of Synapsys. "The Asetek VapoChill in particular bring the most powerful cooling technology to users who require extreme performance and hence extreme cooling."
Asetek, a Danish specialist developer and manufacturer of advanced cooling technologies, is credited with building the cooling system that made possible the fastest PCs in the world, according to independent testers Tom's Hardware Guide. The VapoChill system uses the same sub-zero cooling technology found in IBM's supercomputers - vapor phase cooling.
"Vapor phase cooling in the new generation VapoChill is ten times more efficient than water cooling and fifty times more efficient than air cooling," says Williamson. "The new generation VapoChill removes up to 160 W and cools down to remarkable -30 ^0C!"
The easy to mount CPU kit supports almost all Intel and AMD CPU-based motherboards and gives the user an unlimited versatility in choice of hardware.
"What makes the VapoChill unique and distinguishes it from all competing cooling systems on the market is the software based ChillControl, a user-programmable managed control circuitry that provides NoiseControl, programmable compressor and fan performance, diagnostic LED read-out and upgradable firmware, just to mention a few features," Williamson says.
Also the well-designed VapoChill case range, which includes a titanium model, has plenty of space, so it satisfies every high performance workstation, server or DIY overclocker's requirements. It's is no surprise that the new generation VapoChill has been welcomed with open arms in the overclocking community," remarked Williamson.
The VapoChill range consists of three families of systems, all with integrated vapor phase cooling in a range of cases: Extreme, Professional, and Standard. Each range is available for Intel and AMD CPUs. A stand-alone vapor phase cooling kit is also available, which can be built into an appropriately-sized existing PC case. Prices range from R5100 to about R9300 for the top-of-the-line Titanium-cased Extreme Edition, with case window.
For the most demanding server environments, Asetek also have the VapoChill Case Cooler. "This is the most advanced, effective and economic case / server cooling technology on the market," Williamson claims. "It incorporates an entirely unique and revolutionary air conditioning technology, obviating the need for a specialised cool room environment for high performance servers to operate reliably," Williamson says.
The Asetek WaterChill range comprises a number of comprehensive kits to easily and quickly add water cooling to a PC. "Designed for the moderate overclocker, these powerful water cooling system ensure decent overclocks and eliminates the need for noisy CPU, VGA and chipset fans," says Williamson. Prices range from about R2500 to jut over R3000 for the WaterChill kits. In addition, a range of options and accessories is also available, including pumps, radiators, cooling blocks, and reservoirs.
According to Williamson, Synapsys is the only supplier of specialised cooling technologies for PCs in South Africa. "We supply the high-end server and commercial market, as well as hobbyists, overclockers, and extreme gamers," says Williamson. "The latter group often lead the market in adopting new technologies that only later become established in the business and professional arenas," he adds.
