Synergy BI has launched an innovative initiative that will unleash the power of Excel to those in the financial arena.
Aimed at the likes of financial managers, directors and accountants and called Excel Supercharged, the initiative has been designed to give users of the stalwart program tools and tips to take it to the next level and beyond.
Synergy BI's MD Christo Bredenkamp said the company was increasingly gaining access to the office of finance, and realised that it could help users get more from their Excel spreadsheets.
“With this initiative we are inviting Excel users across the board to subscribe, free of charge, to a regular value-add newsletter, which will give them specific insights and tools to maximise their use of Excel.”
Explaining the roll-out, Bredenkamp said using Google AdWords and other social media, Synergy BI would encourage subscribers to sign up for a free budgeting template.
Further assets
“In the weeks to follow we will give them further Excel assets, systematically training them to use a specific feature through the lens of finance.”
Bredenkamp gave a snapshot of what users can expect to receive when they sign up for the Excel Supercharged journey.
“Each week we unpack an Excel feature and how to maximise it. For example, in the first week, we will highlight driver-based budgeting and will make available a corresponding spreadsheet.
“In week two, we will look at data validation, explore why it is helpful to the financial user, and show how to use it.
“Week three and four will put the spotlight on great Excel shortcuts, including our top 10, and delve into conditional formatting in the program. Users can also view online training videos, which will further demonstrate each week's learning,” said Bredenkamp.
“Synergy BI is aiming to become well-known as a business that is committed to the office of finance, and we looking forward to sharing our skills with this sector. We want to be a trusted voice and a valuable partner to financial managers, directors and accountants,” he added.
“This new initiative is an integral part of our overall strategy to help companies become more profitable, by making available information that empowers them to run their businesses well.”
