Synergy branches out
Electronic medical records and billing firm Synergy Healthcare Resources has branched out into franchising, says Black Enterprising.
The company, which handles doctors' medical billing and bookkeeping, and also markets its own billing and record keeping software, opened its first franchise operation earlier this year in Colorado.
Synergy currently handles electronic billing and record keeping for eight doctors and also works with health care providers who use Synergy software to do their own billing and record keeping.
NStar pushes eBilling
Go Green Grants' new programme 'Pay your electricity bill online, save a tree' was started by utility company NStar, says Cape Cod Online.
The initiative is intended to support projects that preserve and plant trees and also to encourage customers to "go paperless", viewing and paying their bills exclusively online.
NStar contributed an initial sum of $10 000 to get the programme started. In addition, until July 31, the company will donate $1 for every customer who opts for electronic billing.
Avnet named winner
The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas business of Avnet has been named Vishay Intertechnology's Distributor of the Year for the Americas, says Centre Daily.
Avnet was chosen to receive the award based on sales performance and its corporate and field alignment with Vishay during the 2007 calendar year.
"The Avnet team has developed a strong alliance with Vishay and has worked hard to expand the reach of their entire product line to customers across the Americas," said Ed Smith, senior VP of sales for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas.
