Statistics show that in the future it will be hard to find a page that does not have colour on it. Xerox estimates that by 2010, only 20% of all printed pages will be black-and-white only, while in excess of 50% will have four or more colour processes, with further growth expected beyond 2010.
With 86% market share, Xerox is at the forefront of the colour education drive and forecasts double-digit growth in digital colour printing over the next five years.
"We believe the way to deliver new value to customers lies in the convergence of black-and-white and full-colour printing workflows, and we are actively promoting this through our Synergy seminars," says Paul Haglich, acting marketing director, Bytes Document Solutions.
Synergy, two Xerox and Bytes Document Solutions sponsored half-day seminars, aimed at members of the graphic arts industry, corporate CIO/IT managers, in-house print facility managers, marketing directors/managers and production printing bureaux and mailing house managers are being held in Johannesburg on 16 and 17 September.
The seminar will explore the value of common workflows, illustrating how optimised performance at every stage and end-to-end workflow improvements can become a competitive advantage.
Adds Haglich: "Xerox is putting major emphasis on workflow. We are building on the strengths of our existing workflow products, like Document Services Platform (DocuSP), DigiPath & Docushare and leveraging our industry partnerships to provide complete open workflow solutions."
The two half-day sessions will be run at the Circus Maximus Theatre at Caesars Gauteng in Jet Park.
