Syrex, a specialist in the installation and support of various different network infrastructures, today announced some new and some extended capabilities available to the local market, as well as some new initiatives within the wider African scene.
"We are now able to provision fully-redundant bandwidth directly," commented Ralph Berndt of Syrex. "This means that we can provide a premium 1:1, uncontested, ie, not shared, and uncapped local and international capacity that can be delivered on the majority of last-mile mediums, eg, microwave, fibre or wireless.
"Some of the benefits accruing from this include BGP routing being enabled, a large range of public IP addresses being available, and a pricing structure that has become extremely attractive," continued Berndt. "In addition, and as a result of the agreements we have put in place, we can accelerate the ability to provide and deliver cost-effective and technically sound cloud services and solutions that can bring other significant benefits to our clients.
"We are also announcing connectivity on layer two and three architectures to all our clients that have African interests," concluded Berndt. "Obviously, within any limitations that exist in a territory, we can now provide customer connectivity opportunities for each relevant country via a host of partnerships that we have established across the continent. Thus, Syrex remains carrier-agnostic and is able to design, implement, provide and maintain a bespoke network to a customer that is capable of handling its current and future business needs."
