Syrex, a specialist in the installation and support of various different network infrastructures, today launched its own spectrum wireless and fibre model thus catapulting the company into the category of a Tier 3 multi-hosted ISP.
According to Ralph Berndt, "Syrex through its affiliations now has the highest possible level of communications licencing available bar having its own operator licence that organisations such as MTN and Vodacom enjoy. Through our affiliation with a licensed spectrum provider we can now deliver fully licensed wireless within 30 days from receiving a fibre order through our new Rapid Deployment strategy".
Syrex's own fibre model is delivered using a number of strategic partnerships that it has created, which ensures that they are able to offer the entire spectrum of capabilities to their clients; from the customer's premises all the way through to the cloud/data centre. In this regard, Syrex has a presence at all three Teraco's data centres; ie Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. In addition and as a direct consequence of this, these solutions enable rapid deployment; are scalable in nature; quickly upgradable, eg to 10 Gbits/sec; and are exceptionably well priced.
"The benefits are enormous for both parties," explained Berndt. "It allows us to activate and better manage the relevant networks; deployment times for our clients are reduced; and, it also allows us to build more complex MPLS and VPN MPLS solutions. "For clients embracing this new technology, we will use fully licensed spectrum wireless technology as a bridge until the relevant fibre is installed. "Our plan is to initially offer this new capability in the Greater Gauteng area, Western Cape, KZN, Rustenberg and Nelspruit; with the Polokwane Eastern Cape areas following a little later this year.
Syrex is looking to work with other ISPs and Technology integrators in developing better fibre solutions for the local market. They already have strong relationships with active channel partners which Syrex hopes to expand on in the coming months.
As a special launch to market, Syrex will be offering the first 100, signed customers, for the month of October 2015, a premium 1:1 Uncapped and Uncontended 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps Fibre solution for R8 999 Ex Vat and R17 999 Ex Vat respectively.
