SYSPRO, a leading, worldwide provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, has today announced that the company is a finalist for two TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Awards - "Outstanding Private Technology Company" and "Outstanding Private CEO in Technology".
This marks the second time in the month of April that SYSPRO's industry leadership has been recognised by leading technology organisations. SYSPRO was also named a finalist for the "Software Company of the Year" award to be presented by the Technology Council of Southern California.
Now in its 16th year, the TechAmerica awards celebrate excellence and achievement in the region's technology industry, honouring companies, individuals and products that drive innovation. This year's winners will be announced at an awards banquet on 14 May 2009, at the Hilton Hotel in Costa Mesa, California.
According to Joey Benadretti, president of SYSPRO USA: "Unlike many of our competitors that have gobbled up other companies, SYSPRO remains independent and focused. We believe that sustainability of our organisation lies in its ability to morph into new and greater things - to understand the trends and move forward with those trends, but never to lose sight of our core business."
Don Hicks, executive director of TechAmerica Orange County, noted: "We congratulate SYSPRO for being named a finalist for Outstanding Private Technology Company, and Joey Benadretti for being named a finalist for Outstanding Private CEO in Technology." Hicks noted: "Benadretti, president of SYSPRO USA, is being recognised for his remarkable work in strategising the company's direction, the result of which has been an operation that has consistently shown profits and has never had a single layoff."
SYSPRO's more thoughtful approach to adopting new technology, such as Web services and SOA platforms, also reflects the desires of its buyers who are driven by business needs and not by the latest headlines. This exemplifies SYSPRO's ongoing strategy of helping to simplify the success of its customers.
