SYSPRO sponsors SAICA Free State Annual Dinner

This year's South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Free State Annual Dinner took place at Kapano Nokeng, on 18 May 2012. The evening was hailed as a great success, both by SAICA and Syspro, which sponsored the event.

Syspro has been proudly associated with SAICA for many years, and is regularly involved in sponsorship of its events held each year around the country.

Syspro's Marketing Director, Meryl Malcomess, explains that this year's choice of sponsorship was, however, highly strategic. “We have identified the Free State as a strong potential area for growth and have therefore decided to increase our brand awareness in that region. The SAICA event was the initial step in a lengthy campaign to achieve exactly this.”

The dinner proved extremely successful with over 200 people, including 113 chartered accountants and many local dignitaries, in attendance. Entertainment was provided by Elvis Blue to an extremely enthusiastic Bloemfontein crowd. An exuberant Tim Thabethe, who took it upon himself to 'baptise' all the newly qualified charted accountants with a round or two of alcoholic shooters, emceed the event.

Syspro was represented by Lorenzo Borelli, Head of Customer Relations. “The warmth with which Syspro was received by the Free State SAICA fraternity was quite overwhelming,” says Borelli. “The event also proved extremely fruitful as a networking exercise - with many new strong business leads presenting themselves.”

Overall, the highly festive occasion was enjoyed by all, resulting in an exciting and successful sponsorship initiative for Syspro.
