SYSPRO, a leading producer of enterprise software, is exhibiting at Futurex 2005 to be held from 17 to 20 May 2005 at the Johannesburg Convention Centre.
During the show, SYSPRO will showcase, among other applications, its corporate performance management offering called SYSPRO Analytics. One of the most recent additions to SYSPRO's widely acclaimed suite of enterprise resource planning and business management applications, SYSPRO Analytics is a new end-to-end business intelligence (BI) solution that enables organisations to set up and deploy business analytics without the need for complex technical knowledge, costly front-end tools or lengthy implementation projects.
SYSPRO Analytics provides the decision-maker with an easy to install, easy to configure and easy to use metric-based application. The need to understand where the information comes from is done away with through a series of intelligent analysis objects and metric templates that intuitively build the required processes for the information needed. This allows the decision-maker to reach decisions promptly and not waste time trying to understand the intricacies of business intelligence (BI) technology.
"We developed SYSPRO Analytics using standard tools and components from the Microsoft Data Warehouse Framework," says Russell Hollick, Research and Development Director for SYSPRO.
"An important part of our design consideration was to have a turnkey solution that would form the backbone and framework of our customers total business intelligence solution. As a result, SYSPRO Analytics works out-the-box, but is also easy to extend or integrate into environments that already have business intelligence solutions from third-party vendors."
"Many of the specialist solutions, already in the market, are either too complicated or expensive for a large number of companies. SYSPRO customers want software solutions that are easy-to-install, easy-to-buy, easy-to-use. They want to start small and build big as their business grows. Our development team puts a lot of effort into meeting these requirements," said SYSPRO's CEO, Phil Duff.
When asked whether SYSPRO has any success stories with SYSPRO Analytics, Louise Thompson, Technical Communications Director, said: "The verdict is still out on whether we hope to see serious uptake from customers with regard to business intelligence. Most companies are already practicing some form of business intelligence, whether through a formal business intelligence tool or through basic Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and can appreciate the benefit of having an 'out-of-the-box' fully integrated solution. Hopefully we may soon be able to announce our first success stories."
SYSPRO offers a fully integrated, modular, enterprise-wide software solution that optimises the abilities of single and multi-site manufacturers (repetitive, custom, quick-turn and mixed mode) and distributors. SYSPRO software is characterised by outstanding price/performance and balance of functionality. The availability of more than 45 integrated application modules encompassing financial controls, sales, purchasing, inventory control, MRP/production control, forecasting, distribution, inventory optimisation, advanced planning and scheduling, business analytics, enables firms to tailor solutions specific to their needs.
