Systems Integration (SI) has taken the decision to become one of South Africa's first authorised Veritas Premier Partners. This decision falls in line with Veritas' new Vplus channel strategy.
Premier Partner status entails being able to demonstrate high levels of capability and industry skills, and is part of a long-term commitment and investment by SI in Veritas' high-end storage management software products.
Nic van Noordwyk, Veritas Regional Manager, Middle East and Africa, comments: "The Vplus strategy is designed to place increased emphasis on the high-end enterprise market, and comes as a result of the increasing sophistication of the solutions that are required in a storage management environment. SI has, over the years, displayed both superior technical and support skills, and is a natural choice as a Vplus Premier Partner. SI's market experience and capabilities are vital to our on going success in South Africa."
Jack Ward, managing director of Systems Integration, comments: "We are extremely pleased to have been selected as one of Veritas' Premier Partners. This new strategy and status comes as a result of a natural maturation of the channel, where more sophisticated skill sets in storage are necessary to successfully market to the enterprise sector. SI is ideally suited as a Veritas Premier Partner as our focus on the development of the skill sets required in marketing the high-level Veritas enterprise products forms part of our core strategy."
Vplus Premier Partners are limited to organisations that can provide pre-sales consulting implementation and support for Veritas' enterprise-storage management products. These industry-leading products include enterprise backup, hierarchical storage management (HSM), clustering and replication, and files system management in the NT and UNIX environments.
