Tablet war spills into Twitter

The debate over who will be the winner in the forthcoming tablet PC war - those offered by Samsung Electronics and others versus the Apple iPad - has now spilled into Twitter, which could be a litmus test for the PC makers, writes Korea JoongAng Daily.

The controversy started when Apple CEO Steve Jobs, during a sales call in mid-October, said that 7-inch tablet PCs will be 'dead on arrival.' The iPad - introduced by Apple in April in some countries like the US - adopts a 9.7-inch screen.

Meanwhile, smaller tablet PCs are slated to be introduced by companies like Samsung, Dell and Research In Motion with most of them featuring a 7-inch display.
