Tandberg releases USB Web cam
Tandberg Technology India has released a business-quality USB Web cam called Tandberg PrecisionHD USB Camera, states CIOL.
The USB Web cam was conceptualised, designed, prototyped and developed by the Bangalore and Oslo research and development centres.
Opened last year to drive the development of innovative technology solutions in the area of video communications, the centre has doubled investment and achieved 100% growth in 17 months since inception.
Nagravision to secure Spanish pay TV
Content protection solutions provider Nagravision says its Nagra Media Access conditional access (CA) system has been selected to secure the digital terrestrial television (DTT) TDT Premium pay TV platform of Spain's audio-visual network operator, Abertis Telecom, 4rfv.co.uk reports.
Nagra Media Access is being integrated into TDT Premium homologated set-top boxes and conditional access modules (CAMs) to support the new platform.
The certified DTT set-top boxes and CAM modules will be compliant with the technical specifications for DTT CA-enabled receivers, as agreed with the Spanish Digital TV Forum.
NEC revamps portable projector series
NEC Display Solutions has unveiled five NEC projectors which will form part of its NP Portable Series, according to JP-UK.
These eco-friendly projectors are more cost effective and easy to use than previous models, according to the company.
The projectors are supported by NEC projector lamps that are capable of offering 5 000 hours of lamp life and all have extended life cycles.
