Johannesburg, 07 Jan 1999

SCO has announced that its web-enabling software, Tarantella has been honored with a Crossroads 99 A-List Award. Tarantella is the industry's first application broker which allows administrators to easily publish and manage their business critical applications to any user, regardless of the platform running the application or the client device. The Crossroads A-List Awards identify the industry's best new enterprise solutions, based on references from customers who have deployed the products within their enterprise organizations.

"The Crossroads A-List Awards focus on proven products that meet today's enterprise computing needs," said Nina Lytton, President of Open Systems Advisors, Inc. (OSA.) "The in-depth customer interviews used to evaluate products for the Crossroads A-List Awards allow us to validate solutions with real customer experience. This assurance from their peers is extremely valuable to CIOs when choosing solutions for complex computing environments."

"It's an honor to receive the Crossroads A-List Award," said Doug Michels, SCO President and CEO. "Last year Tarantella received a Crossroads A-List Award as a promising new enterprise technology, and this year it received the award because of its continued acceptance and deployment among enterprise customers.
