Tarsus Technologies, the distribution arm of MB Technologies, has created a bundle of Hewlett-Packard hardware and Microsoft software targeted specifically at small businesses. The bundle includes PCs, servers, printers, Microsoft software licenses and a finance facility.
Adrian Delport, HP general manager at Tarsus Technologies, explains: "Many small businesses are often daunted at the thought of having to purchase, deploy and support information technology. While they recognize the need for the technology, they often do not have the technical skills necessary to select the right technology or to support it once its deployed."
He continues: "Tarsus has developed the HP small business bundle to give small businesses brand name reliability, guaranteed compatibility, Year 2000 compliant hardware, Internet connectivity, and all the requisite software licenses. Buying these products in a bundle gives the small business great cost-savings."
While most of the HP products have varying warranty agreements, the end-user can upgrade all of the products in the bundle onto a three-year on-site warranty through making just one phone call. "If the end-user decides to take the HP finance, he also gains the benefit of being able to keep pace with technology changes, since he trades the existing equipment in at the end of the three-year lease period," Delport adds.
