Tarsus gears up for strong HPM push

Johannesburg, 21 Jun 2011

Tarsus Technologies has confirmed the availability of an expanded range of networking products resulting from HP's acquisition of 3Com, and with that its commitment to securing new opportunities for the brand in the corporate, small business and home markets.

“We've received a number of encouraging queries over the past couple of months,” says Peter Engelbrecht, HP networking product manager at Tarsus, “and we're glad, now that the confusion is over and the relevant parties have been appointed, that we can begin capitalising on the numerous gaps in the local market for these new products.”

Engelbrecht says the response from Tarsus' reseller base has thus far been extremely encouraging, and he's confident the expanded portfolio brand will fill a number of vital niches in Tarsus and HP's networking portfolio.

“In particular, we're confident that areas such as home and security products will open new doors for us and our resellers,” he continues.

“We're also bullish about the coming year because we're well-known as a distributor that takes each and every brand it represents to the maximum.

“By employing our in-house skills, experience and support structures appropriately, I believe we can bring a refreshing change to the local networking environment and not only secure the loyalty of our current partners, but also begin securing the loyalty of partners we haven't done business with before,” he concludes.
