Tarsus signs Linksys distribution agreement

Tarsus Technologies has announced the extension of its distribution agreement with Cisco to encompass Linksys, the company's consumer- and small business-focused brand of networking solutions.

While Tarsus has achieved great success with its representation of Cisco, Risna Steenkamp, Cisco business development manager at Tarsus, says that the company is particularly intrigued by its new access to the Linksys Small Business Pro range as a strategic fit exists between the products in this range and the needs of Tarsus' SME resellers.

"We originally took the Cisco brand into the Tarsus stable with the intention of growing its presence in the small and medium-sized business sector," Steenkamp explains.

"We now have access to a really compelling range of products to service that market with," she adds.

Reaching that market will take more than access to a new range of products, however. Steenkamp says that Tarsus is committed to increasing its stockholding so that it is able to supply demand in the market immediately.

"All of this coupled with the ease-of-use, reliability and stability of the Linksys range, which is backed by Cisco, makes for a very compelling value proposition.

"We are actively encouraging more of our SME-focused resellers to register with Cisco to become certified for the sale of Linksys solutions as we believe this range will prove to be hugely successful.

"We are confident about the results we can achieve with Linksys," she concludes.
