MBT Technologies has scored a major coup on the eve of its listing with its appointment as sole distributor for the entire Olicom suite of products.
The product range, which will be distributed by Tarsus Networking, includes the full spectrum of ATM switches, Ethernet switches and High Speed Token Ring products.
Olicom National Manager Nick Muller said the decision was based on the extent of training - most recently on the Olicom Enterprise series - and commitment shown by Tarsus Networking`s engineers.
"Olicom clearly needs a totally focused distribution team," Muller said. "We have adjusted our marketing and sales strategy, providing enterprise solutions to the end user market via our Clearstep Qualified Partners - including Blue Sky Networks, ICL, Unisys and Wang Global - and will be bringing a new, aggressive approach to positioning Olicom in the local market. Tarsus Networking, as our sole distributor, fits perfectly into the model."
