Tarsus Technologies announces availability of HP Vectra VL400

Local distributor Tarsus Technologies has announced availability of the Hewlett-PackardVectra VL400 desktop. According to Margie Adam, PC product manager for Hewlett-Packard at Tarsus, the Vectra series is specifically configured to satisfy the demand for a reliable corporate PC. "Above all, the VL400 offers massive versatility and full manageability. Corporate South Africa is spoiled for choice with three form factors, Pentium III or Celeron processors, integrated or AGP graphics, and optional ISA slots," notes Adam. "This allows for phenomenal configuration versatility, and the ability to optimise cost in relation to your business needs," she adds.

The PC ships in three business-ready packages, using the same system board, BIOS, image and main components. These packages include: The small form factor (3 shelves, 3 slots), desktop (5 Shelves, 4 slots), and minitower (6 shelves, 4 slots). All three are easy to and designed with serviceability in mind. Easy access makes for quick upgrade or , and the instant opening, screwless I/O release allows for easy extraction of drive trays.

The Celeron and Pentium III processor models ship from 566-633 MHz and 667-866MHz respectively, with an Intel 815 chipset. An optional two-ISA slot extension board can be added to the desktop and minitower for a total of six slots, whereas the small form factor models` three PCI slots can be replaced by a `one PCI/one combo (ISA or PCI) solution. "This versatility offers the corporate client the ability to `fine-tune` his PC configuration to correspond directly with his business objectives," explains Adam.

All HP Vectra VL4OO PCs supplied by Tarsus Technologies are backed up by a three-year on-site warranty. Suggested retail pricing for the VL400 range is from R8675 including VAT.
