Tarsus Technologies expands Samsung product range

Johannesburg, 10 Aug 2005

Tarsus Technologies has announced it will expand the Samsung portion of its product portfolio to include the Samsung range of laser printers, a move that will bolster the substantial presence Tarsus has already built with the vendor`s line of monitors.

"Samsung products are extremely popular with South African consumers," enthuses Darryl Squara, business manager at Tarsus Technologies. "We`ve noticed a huge demand for their monitor range and as such, we`re excited to also be offering their excellent selection of printer solutions.

"The initial range includes the ML1520, ML2250, CLP510 and SCX4216F, which comfortably covers the required spread of solutions demanded by the SOHO market," he says.

The Samsung ML1520 is a mono laser printer that provides high-speed, cost-effective laser printing.

"This unit can print up to 14 A4 pages per minute (ppm), and features eight megabytes of memory and compatibility with Windows, Linux and Apple`s Mac OSX," boasts Squara. "Furthermore, users will be duly impressed with its swift printing capabilities, producing the first page in just 12 seconds.

"Next in line, the ML2250 is a larger mono laser printer that effectively has a greater capacity for loaded media and sports faster printing times than its smaller compatriot, the ML1520; with 20ppm in A4 and first page production in 10 seconds," he continues.

The range also includes a colour laser printer. "The CLP510 is Samsung`s colour laser printer offering that, like Samsung`s mono solutions, produces amazing quality at phenomenal speeds. It can print 24 A4 pages in a minute, with the first page delivered in 13 seconds for black and white and 21 for colour. The printer also has a larger memory capacity with 64MB included."

Rounding out the range, Samsung has also made provision for a multifunction device (MFD), a move that will see the SME market truly satisfied.

"Samsung`s SCX4216F is a cohesive MFD solution that provides superior printing, faxing, scanning and copying solutions," explains Squara. "The high-speeds and professional all-in-one solutions make the SCX4216F not only efficient, but super affordable and a space-saver to boot."

Squara concludes that Tarsus is confident the diversification of its Samsung range will see a growth in the brand`s popularity reaching into the printing market.

"Samsung products are renowned for their affordability, reliability and features; their printers are no exception," he says.
