Tarsus Technologies, the distribution arm of MB Technologies was recently re-certified under the international ISO9002 standard. Previously, the distributor was certified for reworks and customisations for vendors including Hewlett-Packard (HP), Compaq, and IBM. The new certification, however, certifies Tarsus Technologies as ISO9002 compliant with the assembly of its own in-house brand, the Tarsus PC. In addition, the distributor has got the green light to assemble Hewlett-Packard PCs.
Valentino Eleftheriades, technical manager at Tarsus Technologies, hopes to gain assembly approval from other the major vendors in the future. "The awarding of ISO9002 certification will enable us to continue configuring PCs to international standards as well as actually assemble the HP and Tarsus PCs on site. This in turn will cut down our turnaround times and enable us to improve service and delivery to our resellers."
