Tarsus Technologies, the distribution arm of JSE-listed MB Technologies, stamped its authority on the recently held Compaq Channel Awards. For the fifth consecutive year, Tarsus has won the top award for the region, being voted the Distributor of the Year at the function held at the Theatre on the Track at Kyalami on 18 February.
"This is a remarkable achievement that asserts Tarsus` position as the leading Compaq reseller in this country," declares Jamie Scott, general manager for Compaq at Tarsus Technologies. According to him, bagging this award yet again was the result of a dedicated and effective Compaq team consistently doing their best throughout the year.
Scott also reveals that Serena van Dyk, a senior account manager at Tarsus, scooped up the Product Champion award to add to the accolades in the Tarsus trophy cabinet. "Even before Compaq opened offices in this country, Serena has been dedicated to the brand; so it is great to see that her commitment has been rewarded with this prize," says Scott.
He adds that a week later, on Friday, February 25 in Zimbabwe, Tarsus Technologies was the recipient of the Southern Africa Distributor of the Year award for work done with Compaq in the southern African countries outside South Africa - the first time that this award has been made. "We are delighted to have won this accolade in the face of fierce competition from companies with more established infrastructures in these countries," declares Guy Whitcroft, managing director at Tarsus Technologies. "This achievement will stand us in good stead for the aggressive future growth we plan for this region," he concludes.
