TAS announces filter for Microsoft Office 2000

Johannesburg, 14 Apr 2000

TAS SA (Pty) Ltd has announced the release of the TAS Microsoft Small Business Tools Filter. The filter allows TAS Business Controller accounting to be analysed seamlessly, using Microsoft`s Small Business Financial Manager and Small Business Manager, and is available to all existing TAS customers at no charge.

Mark Silberman, a director of TAS Software SA, says the release of the filter will enable TAS Business Controller users to access vital business information and provide them with innovative analysis tools which will help them make better business decisions.

"By integrating TAS Business Controller data with Microsoft`s Small Business Financial Manager, TAS users will be able to generate over 30 additional standard reports, including cashflow, financial ratio analysis and many others. This integration means that TAS Business Controller users can now take full advantage of most of the features available in MicrosoftOffice 2000`s Small Business Tools," comments Silberman.

The TAS Microsoft Small Business Tools Filter also allows users to produce advanced "what if" analyses in order to identify potential outcomes for different business scenarios. They will also be able to produce cost forecasts and automatically produce dynamic and customisable financial reports such as income statements and balance sheets in the precise format they require or prefer.

TAS Business Controller`s seamless integration with Microsoft`s Small Business Customer Manager allows users to combine customer contact data from Microsoft Outlook with financial data from TAS. This will enable them to track customer profiles based on a broad range of criteria. Information such as customers by sales volume, profitability, or sales person as well as filters to see reports with even more detailed information, such as top 10% or top 25% of customers, are now all available at the touch of a button.

"Furthermore, all customer and supplier documents can be customised using Microsoft Word, including fonts, graphics and colours, and all reports generated in TAS Business Controller can be seamlessly viewed in Microsoft Excel, without the need for formatting or data changes," comments Silberman.

TAS Business Controller is a 32-bit, fully integrated multi-company accounting system. It consists of Customers, Quotations, Pro-formas, Invoicing, Suppliers, Purchase Orders, Goods Received Notes, Inventory, Assemblies (kits), Nominal Ledger, Cash book, Report Writer, Marketing Response Tracking and Management Information Systems. TAS Business Controller also includes a full 60-day money back guarantee and 90 days free telephone support.
