TCM has been appointed as a Compaq Authorised Service Provider (ASP), enabling the company to service and warrant Compaq`s products, including the Intel server and desktop ranges.
"TCM found that a large percentage of its existing client base was also using Compaq products, or had directives from overseas superiors to buy Compaq, and therefore had a separate service provider for those products," says Jorge de Campos, TCM marketing executive. "These customers have specifically asked TCM to support their full range of products.
"We are now able to fulfil these customers` requests, and to provide them with Compaq product support and spare parts, and with that attract new clients."
"Compaq believes by outsourcing to companies that are services-driven, like TCM, more value can be added to customers," says Jacques van Zyl, Compaq`s service account manager. "Compaq will provide the services network for technical queries and support."
