NetTrace (Pty) Ltd signed a deal with RentWorks Africa that will see the two companies enter into a three-year distribution agreement, whereby RentWorks will market and distribute NetTrace products throughout southern Africa.
RentWorks Africa was established in 1997 as a financier of specialised technical equipment, and quickly became recognised as SA`s foremost independent technology rental company.
NetTrace, established in 2000, is a provider of personal computer asset tracking, inventory and lease management products and services in SA. NetTrace is the licensed Absolute Software service provider in the region.
The deal will see RentWorks customers benefit greatly from NetTrace`s added services, by taking advantage of this advanced Internet-based tracking technology. NetTrace is tasked with installing its NetTrace Lease Manager Service on all RentWorks leased assets as part of the standard leasing service from RentWorks.
NetTrace and RentWorks are of the opinion that every company that leases its computers should have a PC inventory management system in place. The financial benefits of leasing PC assets are reduced if the monthly leasing costs cannot be linked to actual use and state of the leased asset. Not to mention the obvious fact that tracking the status and location of PCs, laptops and servers is critically important particularly at the end of the lease period, or at any point in time when the asset needs to be upgraded or returned to RentWorks.
This is where NetTrace`s advanced tracking technology comes into play. By enabling the RentWorks customer to monitor remote, mobile and desktop PCs and perform basic inventory tracking functions. The product helps to simplify and automate the tedious tasks associated with the management of a computer inventory. Tasks such as the administration of individual computer leases, cost centre allocation, device upgrades and effective retirement planning are all made possible through the use of NetTrace Lease Manager.
