Tech enthusiasts and creatives are invited to attend an innovation session, to develop fresh ideas for collaboration, at the beginning of August.
The British Council's Connect ZA programme and Tech4Africa are calling on representatives from tech companies and creative organisations to take part in the two-day event, which is co-hosted and facilitated by the UK's CultureTECH festival.
At the end of day two, teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges representing creative industries from both the UK and Africa. The most compelling model will win funds to support the implementation of their idea in the coming year, and one team will represent Culture Shift at the CultureTECH Festival in Northern Ireland in September.
The week-long festival sees more than 100 events and sessions celebrating innovations at the intersection of culture, the arts and technology.
Participant criteria
Attendees should have a hands-on position in a creative organisation or tech company. Independent practitioners should have the support of an organisation willing to carry the project forward, with funding and additional mentoring support from the British Council and partners.
Prospective participants must be available to attend the sessions on 5 and 6 August. For more information, click here.
