Leading provider of turnkey IT solutions to the healthcare sector, Intersolve Health Informatics (Intersolve), a business unit of Ariel Technologies, has signed a co-operation agreement with leading UK company WS Atkins. Intersolve is now well positioned to make strong inroads in the UK and European market.
Craig Wood, divisional director of WS Atkins Management Consultancy, says: "Under the agreement, we will launch Hosp, a well proven hospital administration and information package, and other health related software products from Intersolve, in the UK and Europe; and Ariel Technologies and its subsidiaries will market our extensive range of services, which include a number of programme management software products across Southern Africa.``
"WS Atkins is very active in the United Kingdom healthcare market and Hosp will enable us to strengthen our offering. In fact, we believe that we have identified a gap in the market specifically with regards to computerised patient episode costing - and this makes Intersolve`s products especially attractive."
Intersolve chairman and Ariel Technologies group executive director of operations George Stander comments:" With the backing and assistance of an organisation of the calibre of WS Atkins, we are confident that we can achieve phenomenal success in the United Kingdom and in other European countries."
As a result of the cooperation agreement, a number of its products including Hosp, will be introduced to the UK and European markets. Intersolve general manager of private and international health Gerhard Smit says: "The latest version - called Hosp 2000 - came from the analysis of similar products from across the world. The result is one of the most flexible, easy to use and up to date hospital management systems in the industry, which we can market with confidence world-wide."
Craig Wood adds:" We believe that our new found relationship will be extremely beneficial with both parties bringing to the table excellent products, sound track records and extensive infrastructure and resources."
