Data and voice cabling products and services are only one element of Tecor`s comprehensive product range it supplies to customers. It is an essential part if its business, as it is key to connectivity and a cornerstone of its historically disadvantaged individual (HDI) development programme.
To accomplish company HDI development goals, Tecor engages with more than 50 HDI supply partners countrywide to whom it entrusts the roll-out of its cabling business. While Tecor itself does not do any cabling installations, it is important to the company that these partners are developed into full IT infrastructure companies, with a continuous workload.
One of Tecor`s driving initiatives is to form alliances with other role-players within the marketplace. This initiative has recently been advanced with the signing of a heads-of-agreement with Moloko Cabling & Infrastructure Management (MCIM), which is a company that specialises in the management of black empowerment companies to deliver cabling and infrastructure installations.
The cabling management of both organisations will be merged into one cost-effective organisation, for which the name of MCIM will be retained.
MCIM will be one of the major players in the delivery of cabling and infrastructure installations in the South African cabling industry, with the subsequent supply of business to all of Tecor`s HDI partners.
