Teen gamer dies after 'Diablo 3' binge

The teenager, identified only as Chuang, played the game for nearly two full days in a private room of an Internet caf'e, in Tainan, southern Taiwan.

The Australian says an attendant entered the private room and found Chuang resting on a table, and after he was woken up, he stood, took a few steps and collapsed. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Dehydration was the biggest danger, leading to a risk of cardiac arrest, said Brian Morton, head of the Australian Medical Association's General Practice Council.

Police have been investigating the cause of death and an autopsy was being carried out, The Hindustan Times states.

In February, a man in New Taipei was found dead, slumped in a chair facing a computer with his arms still reaching out for the keyboard after playing for 23 hours straight.
