Telkom properties workflow solution wins gold for Staffware

Staffware plc, the founder of the process industry, is proud to announce that Telkom Properties, a subsidiary of Telkom, has won the prestigious gold award for Middle East and African workflow solutions at the annual GIGA Awards which were held at the AIIM show in Copenhagen Denmark this week.

The award was received by project leader Pieter Feenstra, TFMC (Telecommunications Facilities Management Company) and follows a workflow implementation undertaken for Telkom Properties by their consultants Fourier Approach, who opted for a Staffware workflow-based invoice verification process. This has enabled Telkom Properties to gain control over payment of invoices with an annual value exceeding R283 million. A cost benefit analysis proved beyond any doubt very substantial returns on their investment in Staffware with benefits including:

  • Rapid and effective elimination of duplicate invoices

  • Approval for payment procedure formalised and controlled

  • Uncertainty on progress of any work element eliminated

  • Formal, systemised escalation of procedures

  • Automatic prompts and reminders on any delay in the process

The 2000 Global Excellence Awards which recognises innovation and excellence in workflow implementations and is organised by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), Giga Information Group and the Workflow And Reengineering International Association (WARIA).

According to Mark Ehmke, MD of Staffware SA, particular attention was paid to workflow implementations that show workflow extending beyond the corporate boundaries to support customers, suppliers and trading .

The awards take place annually in conjunction with the AIIM European Conference and Expo. The Awards (now in their 10th year) were presented by Connie Moore, VP Giga Information Group, at the Bella Center, Copenhagen, as part of the AIIM Copenhagen event in Denmark.

Winners receive additional recognition by having their case studies published in the next volume of Excellence in Practice by Future Strategies.
