A cable-break disrupted telecoms services to Namibia earlier today, reports Telkom.
A cable-break occurred in the Northwest Province between Wolmaransstad and Kingswood, Telkom says in a statement. This, together with a simultaneous cable failure in Rocky Ridge in the Eastern Cape Province, resulted in the disruption of services.
"Staff at Telkom`s National Network Operations Centre identified and located the cable-break and immediately took appropriate action to restore services to Namibia," the statement says.
Telkom says all telecommunications services to Namibia were restored by 12:33.
