Telkom is entering the mobile business space with competitively-priced smartphone and tablet offerings.
Announced at the launch of Telkom Business Mobile yesterday, the telco now offers Apple, Android and BlackBerry products for business customers.
The launch deals are applicable only to SMEs and large businesses, and a business registration number is required on application.
All call plans include calls at 65c per minute to national landlines and R1.80 per minute to any mobile network, and come with a 24-month contract.
The Motorola Xoom 3G is available for R315 per month with 650MB free data, or for R340 per month 10GB free data, R200 SIM and connection, and the option of a Midnight Surfer Bundle of an additional 10GB for a further R100 per month.
The first-generation Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 is being offered on a R320 per month contract, which comes with 500MB data.
Telkom Business Mobile is also offering the iPad 2, but since the device is not allowed to be sold in contract bundles, they are offering R6 000 iStore vouchers which can be used to purchase any Apple device except the iPhone. The offer is available with a R375 per month contract, which includes 10GB monthly data, or a R435 per month contract with 15GB data.
The BlackBerry PlayBook is also now available from Telkom Business Mobile in bundled offers together with BlackBerry Curve and Bold handsets. A R410 per month contract includes a BlackBerry Curve 9300 and 16GB PlayBook on a 24-month contract, with 500MB free YouTube streaming and 120 free minutes. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 and 32GB PlayBook are available on a R595 per month contract, with 500MB free YouTube streaming and 250 free minutes.
