Telstra transforms IT, business collaboration

Telstra has adopted the agile methodology in its approach to IT and software development, in response to internal feedback from the telco's $11.9 billion transformation, writes ITNews.

The new approach is expected to enhance collaboration on projects between IT and the business units and "see projects delivered faster and benefits realised sooner", according to chief operating officer Michael Rocca.

"Starting immediately, the IT team will change the way it delivers IT capability and engages with the rest of the business," he says.

Project management software released

Project Manager Online has introduced project management software, ProjectManager.com, according to PR Canada.

The company says the feature-packed online project management software brings new features to users to help them manage projects in every industry.

"Our engineers developed this software with the on-the-go project manager in mind," states Jason Westland, president and CEO of Project Manager Online.

The suite of services was intended to benefit business users and enhance business collaboration online.

Acrobat.com features Buzzword, a competitor to Google Docs; ConnectNow, a tool for running virtual meetings, sharing desktops, and presenting PowerPoints virtually; and Create PDF/Share, a tool to create and share PDF files.
