Borland Software Corporation today announced that TELUS, the second largest telecommunications company in Canada, has chosen Borland`s software development solutions as part of a shift in the way its information services teams design and develop software.
By standardising on Borland Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions, TELUS hopes to accelerate its application development cycle and enhance its ability to perform analysis, design and testing activities for new systems development projects.
"As a leader in the delivery of telecommunications services, TELUS is continually searching for solutions to improve the speed and accuracy of our application development processes," said Kevin Salvadori, TELUS executive vice-president, Business Transformation and chief information officer. "The Borland ALM solution provides a set of best practices and tools that enables our software project teams to enhance our software development capabilities."
Designed to increase development efficiency and accuracy in project management, the Borland ALM solution, comprised of CaliberRM and Together, will assist the analysis, design, modelling and testing activities of TELUS`s systems development lifecycle process.
"Borland`s ALM solutions are designed to impact the bottom line by giving project development teams tools to facilitate collaboration, impact analysis and communication in the midst of changing requirements," said Christopher Corey, vice-president and general manager, Borland Canada. "The iterative checkpoints built into the software are designed to keep the end result tightly linked to the original business goals, while giving teams ample tools to boost productivity while maintaining the high standards of product quality that keep projects on track."
