International IT vendor IBM has released the beta versions of Lotus Notes and Domino 8 for public testing.
In a statement yesterday, the company's local office noted the e-mail and collaboration platforms featured several new and enhanced features.
These include support for the OpenDocument format, simplified management of e-mail overload, easier creation of rich Web 2.0 applications, and operating system independence.
The beta code can be downloaded here. The final versions are expected to be available by mid-2007.
