texSMS, the groundbreaking corporate Outlook SMS system from TelePassport, has just released its first major version upgrade, texSMS version 2. The new release coincides with the number of new texSMS customers since texSMS`s release two months ago passing the one thousand mark this week.
The new release simplifies texSMS registration to a single easy step, which is embedded in the software installation process.
Andrew Pitout, SMS Product Manager at TelePassport, explains: "texSMS has been a resounding success in the South African market in the two months since it has been released. However, when we analysed the process flows involved in the registration process in conjunction with real live data, we realised that the original two-step process, while hardly cumbersome, could be improved on. So we have reduced it to quick single step, and the result in the first few days of release has been more than rewarding. texSMS is a software "plug-in" to Microsoft Outlook, which allows users to send SMS messages directly from Outlook as easily as sending an e-mail. The service is full-featured and supports replies, delivery reports, delayed sending and bulk SMS. Also included is automatic SMS integration of the user`s Outlook calendar and meeting scheduling functions.
