The Lot Web Auctions has launched its new and improved site, introducing its mobile auctions offering which leverages off M-Web`s Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)-enabled new look portal.
The Lot, an online auction site launched in September last year, was acquired by M-Web in December. The Lot`s new site utilises Microsoft`s personalisation module, allowing users to tailor the site to their taste and select categories that interest them. Newsletters, bargain alerts and other facilities are personalised to the users` requirements.
"We are thrilled to be the first WAP-enabled online auction initiative in SA," says Stephen Logan, MD of The Lot. "We have built the site around our users and with WAP they will be free to browse the site wherever they may be."
The Lot is accessible via www.thelot.co.za or www.thelot.co.za/thelot/home.wml.
