Leading notebook retailer, The Notebook Company, has announced it is to expand its product range to include the Auwa notebook range, providing it with one of the most comprehensive notebook ranges available in SA.
This was confirmed by The Notebook Company`s GM, Christopher Riley, who said the Auwa range will be added to the company`s existing product range, which includes Acer, Mecer, IBM, Toshiba, Compaq, Laptech and Asus.
"The Auwa range of PCs and notebooks is well-known in SA and we believe they come with a high level of features at affordable prices. Their products are also able to compete at the high-end and the company`s latest Pentium III offering, the 330B series, is arguably one of the best Pentium III notebooks available on the market from a pure price-performance viewpoint," said Riley.
He said he believed sales from the Auwa range will add "a noticeable amount" to the company`s bottomline during the next 12 months.
The company also confirmed that it has recently signed a strategic alliance with JSE-listed black empowered IT company, Casey, that would see the retailer "focusing more successfully on the public sector market". The duo recently landed their first contract - a R250 000 notebook deal with the National Productivity Institute.
