This Wednesday will see the official launch of Mthombo IT Service (M-IT), a fully-fledged information technology services company, focusing on high-end services with a Black Economic Empowerment flavour.
The company, which has been in operation for the past three months, says its strategic intent is to be the leading service provider that delivers quality IT service to corporates and the public sector.
The company`s CEO, Nkosinathi Khumalo, says that part of the company`s success strategy is to stay focused on its chosen niche in the IT services area.
"M-IT believes in empowering its employees to make decisions, to be held accountable for those decisions and be rewarded for their success through performance-based incentives," he adds.
He explains that real-time technology has shortened the length of time it takes to perform tasks such as accessing information or taking action. In line with the demands of the global business environment, local companies need to apply the technology that will enable them to leverage and monitor their competitive advantage.

Apparently, the company is currently handling the servicing of the entire Hewlett-Packard Gauteng netservers.
The company which sold 40% of its shares to R100m private equity fund Protocol Venture Capital, believes that teamwork is an essential component of its business and also values the shared ideas and innovative solutions that are generated by collaboration.
The company, like a lot of others in the same sphere, is driven by a spirit of entrepreneurship, whereby its staff have an equity share in the company.
