ThisArmy builds Tank

Cape Town-based ThisArmy has released a Web application that builds sites.

Tank is described by founder Alan Alston as: "An easy blend between pages, posts and photos."

The application and the sites it builds all stem from a singular ethos - that of simplicity, Alston says. It's simple and focused, with a low learning curve and can be used for everything from personal to business sites, he adds.

Tank is a hosted Web-based application, so everything resides on a central, locally hosted server, states Alston. As a new feature is rolled out or a bug is fixed, users immediately benefit.

Updates are constantly being carried out, and these improvements are rolled out to all customers with no need for intervention from their side, he explains.
