Tibco looks to cloud computing

Integration and business process management (BPM) firm Tibco Software has made its first foray into cloud computing, introducing into beta an application delivery platform for enterprise cloud deployments it is calling Silver, states CBR Online.

“Enterprises can overcome the impediments to widespread enterprise adoption of cloud computing,” the company said in a statement, naming them as issues such as availability, security, integration, and scalability.

The company said its development had addressed many of the questions raised by enterprise architects about the cloud compute proposition: namely, who is going to have access to my data, can I use components from my old applications and will my business SLAs on the application hold?

Xerox partner offers workflow consulting

Solimar Systems, a Xerox Business Partner, has announced that Xerox's Advanced Services Group will now be able to implement and deploy Solimar's software solutions, says Graphic Arts Online.

The new agreement will allow Xerox to package professional services and consulting around Solimar's enterprise software to help customers with everything from re-engineering documents to managing massive print jobs and the archival of large documents and print jobs.

"Xerox provides professional people, processes, technology, and experience to ensure a successful implementation of production workflow solutions involving Solimar products," said Mary Ann Rowan, chief marketing officer, Solimar Systems.

Streamline Health integrates workflow solution

Streamline Health Solutions document workflow solutions will be integrated into the electronic medical records, or EMR, solution for multiple facilities within an additional Canadian healthcare region, says Trading Markets.

Streamline Health said that integrating its document workflow solutions will provide a consolidated view into a patient's complete history of care and allow physicians to electronically review and sign document-based clinical records.

Streamline Health noted that it has now two international contracts for implementation of its solutions at a total of over 18 healthcare facilities.
