Tibco named leader

Tibco has been positioned in the Leaders' quadrant of Gartner's December 2007 "Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management (BPM) Suites, 2007," reports Reuters.

Gartner defines leaders as "distinguished by their focus on driving a paradigm shift toward increased business user participation in the entire process improvement life cycle, by enabling explicit, model-driven solution deployment rather than traditional coded approaches".

As enterprises seek to optimise business processes, decisions, and actions, they are increasingly turning to products such as Tibco's BPM solution.

Under the contract, Satyam will drive FETAC's implementation of BPM solutions for its core business processes.

Satyam will use Teamworks, Lombardi's award-winning BPM suite, to roll out a multi-tiered solution that includes process management, and document management, along with enhanced and integration frameworks.

Forrester honours Metastorm

Metastorm, a leading provider of BPM, business process analysis, and enterprise architecture software for aligning strategy with execution, has announced it has been recognised as a leader by Forrester Research, reports Reuters.

The company was cited in: "The Forrester Wave: Human-Centric BPM for Microsoft Platforms, Q4 2007." The Forrester Wave was a result of lab-based product evaluations on eight leading human-centric BPM suite vendors across 150 criteria.

Metastorm was one of the leaders in its evaluation and noted (along with two other vendors) as taking "a comprehensive approach to BPM, satisfying every part of the process life cycle," according to Forrester.
