TIBCO BusinessWorks outperforms BEA Systems, IBM, Sonic and webMethods based on ISO 9001:2000-certified assessment.
TIBCO Software has announced that independent analyst group - Yphise - ranked TIBCO BusinessWorks as the industry's "Best Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)" solution.
TIBCO's ESB software demonstrates it has the strengths required by large companies and represents a sound investment compared to competitive offerings based on an ISO 9001:2000-certified assessment.
TIBCO BusinessWorks was honoured with the prestigious Yphise award, following a comprehensive, comparative assessment of leading ESB vendors, including BEA System's AquaLogic Service Bus, IBM's WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, Progress Software's Sonic ESB, and webMethods' Fabric.
Yphise's in-depth comparative analysis was based on more than 100 technical and functional assessments for each competing product. Aggregating these inputs, Yphise created four categories that would enable enterprises to accurately choose an ESB solution. These include improving business agility; aligning the service with business needs; increasing business availability; and increasing reliability of business activity.
Jeff Kristick, vice-president of product marketing at TIBCO, comments: "Recognition by Yphise as the best ESB solution is testament to TIBCO's sustained efforts to strengthen the foundation on which enterprises can easily create and scale their SOA infrastructure. By continuing to drive innovation in the ESB space, we have enabled many global organisations to accelerate their goal of building an enterprise-ready SOA."
Yphise's assessment commends TIBCO technology for its flexibility and ease of use. The report also states that TIBCO BusinessWorks is a comprehensive and mature product. Additional unique features highlighted include:
* User-friendly interface that provides accurate definition of content-based routing, facilitates incident management, and improves business availability;
* Unique ability to provide graphical tools in two categories: one dedicated to facilitating development, the other dedicated to structuring data. Among assessed products, only TIBCO BusinessWorks offers both features;
* Ensures high-quality service level delivery, with the ability to accurately manage server performance and solve incidents quickly;
* Out-of-the-box performance testing without any customisation or third-party tools; and
* Ability to easily define customised validation rules for tracking and auditing the communication through the ESB.
According the Yphise executive report issued this month, "TIBCO BusinessWorks provides a user-friendly interface that allows accurate definition of content-based routing, and we appreciate the ease-of-use of the graphical toolboxes. Fully-based on standards, TIBCO's ESB solution also stands out in improving interoperability in information systems."
