TIBCO Software Inc, a leading enabler of real-time business and the world`s largest independent business integration software company, today announced that market research firm Gartner Dataquest, Inc reported that TIBCO saw 24.7% market share growth in 2004 over its market share in 2003 based on new licence revenue.
The Gartner Dataquest report, entitled "Market Share: AIM and Portal Software, Worldwide, 2004, Preliminary (Executive Summary)" analyses the 2004 new licence revenues of software vendors in the application integration, middleware and portal marketplace.
For Application Platform Suite Composite Market Share and New Licence Revenue in 2004, TIBCO showed year-over-year growth of 24.7%, placing among the top five vendors in the category.
According to the Gartner Dataquest report, the numbers in the Application Platform Suite category are most noteworthy as this is the area where the true battle for market share is occurring. Application platform suites are composite products, synergistically combining the benefits of application servers, integration suites and portal products.
