TIBCO Software has announced that its process modelling and simulation product, TIBCO Business Studio, has been awarded "Best Commercial Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) Application" as part of the prestigious Eclipse Community Technology Awards.
The Eclipse Community Technology Awards recognise the best Eclipse-based products in the industry.
Winners were selected from a pool of 63 nominations by a panel of judges from across the Eclipse community. The "Best Commercial Eclipse RCP Application" recognises the most innovative use of Eclipse RCP for end-user applications.
Nominated RCP applications and developer tools were evaluated on their user interfaces, innovation and comprehensiveness. TIBCO's free, standards-compliant product offering was honoured at an awards ceremony on 5 March at EclipseCon 2007.

TIBCO Business Studio delivers enhanced modelling and simulation capabilities to speed the understanding and representation of complex business processes within an Eclipse-based environment. Users can model and simulate process execution via real-world data to help ensure the model represents a true reflection of the business prior to deployment. Easily guiding users through process lifecycle management and simulation provides a more efficient and cost-effective way to control the processes. This approach also helps to increase collaboration between business and IT, thereby decreasing the time to market of enterprise projects.
