Tilos, the local business software developer, has joined the Global Consulting Alliance (GCA), a worldwide network of consulting companies with hubs in many countries, headed up by PASS Consulting in Germany.
Membership of the GCA offers Tilos a path to rapid international expansion, allowing it to offer solutions to clients around the globe, wherever they are required.
"The decision to join the GCA was a natural extension of our intended strategy to take advantage of our local skills in software development and the fact that they are cheaper than in most developed nations, achieved through our ability to develop component-based solutions," says Victoria Vaksman, MD of Tilos. "Following the favourable assessment of our solutions by a number of large consulting firms, we felt comfortable that they were fit for the international market."
PASS consults, initiates, supports, accompanies and safeguards its customers` innovative processes by developing strategically integrated solutions. As a PASS initiative, the GCA is represented in 21 countries on five continents around the globe, including Russia. Revenue currently stands at $750 million and the total number of consultants, engineers and other staff available to the organisation is more than 20 000.
PASS GCA has established a sales and marketing team specifically focused on selling Tilos as a strategic solution for the German-speaking market.
Joining the GCA means that Tilos, while providing an integral component to the alliance and a new contact point in the global market, does not have to bear the burden of international expansion on the back of a fluctuating currency. It also means the business has access to established offices stocked with the skills it needs to offer the most competitive and efficient solutions.
The GCA offers customers a range of services and solutions, including business consulting, IT consulting and project management and realisation.
It has a strong focus on the South African market, where it will be marketing its solutions and services.
"Because business dominates solutions and processes in the market today, as opposed to what happened in the past where IT solutions often dictated business processes, we need to ensure that clients get the best possible solution for their task.
"Sometimes that means revamping an existing, albeit legacy, environment, sometimes replacing the system entirely, and in many cases adding to existing systems," says Thomas Dudaczy, CEO of the GCA.
Tilos`s suite of software products offers organisations the components they need to rapidly build a wide variety of business solutions. This fits into the GCA strategy of consulting at the business and IT levels, ascertaining the requirement, and fitting only those parts of the solution that are necessary.
Tilos`s uniquely architectured and flexible products are used either as separate, fully-fledged, software products or as building blocks to create business solutions varying from CRM and employee relationship management to supply chain management and budgeting and forecasting.
"We developed the Tilos suite with the aim of allowing our clients to significantly increase their competitiveness and return on investment. The Tilos product suite offers an important set of building blocks that are key in achieving these goals," says Vaksman.
The GCA has a set of critical factors influencing the success of its clients` businesses, including: quality, price and time to market. It aims to achieve the best possible balance of these three factors in the solutions that it brings to customers.
Different partners have their own versions of critical success factors suited to their local markets and these must be incorporated and integrated with those of the GCA.
"We were very pleased to note that Tilos`s product suite integrates directly into our best practices model," says Dudaczy. "This integration can help us bring global experience to bear on local solutions, reducing costs and enhancing clients` chances of success."
