Tilos Business Solutions, the international solution developer and outsourced service provider, has launched www.infoslips.com, a portal aimed at assisting clients with information on correctly setting up their InfoSlips software.
InfoSlips is the company`s employee and customer relationship management software that goes beyond a scanned statement or payslip.
"InfoSlips is fast and easy to deploy with technology that does away with password and user management issues, and the launch of www.infoslips.com reinforces this commitment to ease of use," says Alan Burger, CTO of Tilos Business Solutions.
A Hunter Group survey found that electronic payslips reduce associated costs by between 25% and 30%. InfoSlips also lends itself to electronic statement delivery while allowing additional information to be included. More importantly the software complies with new HR legislation stipulated by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) in terms of information delivered and securing it en-route, going beyond this to secure it on arrival and storage at destination.
The American Payroll Association, in partnership with KPMG, released a benchmarking study of large employers that determined key factors that allow large companies to provide payroll services at lower costs. One of the findings was that although printing and delivering a payslip costs R100 on average per employee a year, which appears to be quite low, it does not factor in the hidden costs such as processing new employees, customer service, tax filing and eliminating errors. "Electronic pay slips are up to 50% cheaper to deliver," says Burger.
The InfoSlips portal will educate users and potential users about the different uses the software can be put to and also the value that can be added for all stakeholders. These come in the form of InfoParts relating to personal employee information, such as pension, next of kin or marriage details. Users can electronically update their personal information quickly and painlessly, removing this burden from HR.
EduSlips add further value by tagging specific, focused educational information to employees` payslips, such as pregnancy information for those about to go on maternity leave and retirement, tax, savings, leave and credit rating information.
"These EduSlips are driven from the employee database, where all employee personal information is stored," says Burger. "While these InfoParts and EduSlips drive up the cost of delivery, it does not reach the cost of paper payslips and statements and allows companies to add a great deal of value to employees and clients alike, which the portal demonstrates."
